The frozen prairie...
The We're Here capped with snow:
The Frank Barrys invited Faith and I (the only two left from Outpost 3) over for dinner...so we joined Lori, Mary and the Hoopers for some delicious food and then hiked back through the woods in the dark and snow, imagining ourselves trekking the mountains of Nepal or some other snowy region far from home.
After night sledding...
Night sledding was awesome, by the way! Down the MBs driveway to the ROAD! Complete with blasting music from the porch and Christmas lights. No mishaps besides Faith and Sarah's last run...an encounter with a telephone pole...but no lasting damages to people or objects.
Three days of snow and cozy indoor time. School was canceled on Friday, so we drank lots of tea, hung out, watched movies, ventured out for the occasional sled run and then returned to the fireside for more tea and hot chocolate. The power stayed on the whole time, which was wonderful!
