Congratulations to Daniel and Amanda Walton, and welcome to their firstborn, Yahya Luke!
Although neither a Barry nor a resident of Barry Mountain, his parents Daniel and Amanda are sort of adopted relatives to at least Nathania, Abi, Kate, and myself.
Nathania saw the news on Amanda's facebook, and she and Abi and I read and re-read and re-read the post, discussed in amazed scraps of sentences if it might not be a fake, and then laughed with delight and stared at the single sentence as though that would make pictures join the text.
Eventually Abi, in a burst a genius, identified the sensation we were struggling to nail down as "feeling like great-aunts." (Kate, you'll understand how that works, even though it doesn't...)
If I had a picture, I'd post one. If and when I get one, I will. Meanwhile, any of you who know my facebook password are welcome to use it.

*Uh... take it as figurative. And boys, if you really must know, it's probably our house.

WOW! Hurrah!! A firstborn son... (and I'd almost be willing to bet a milkshake his middle name is after Skywalker). This is wonderful news! I wish I was there to see him. I shall go sleuthing for pictures. Thanks Hannah!
Tell Daniel and Amanda congrats from me, and that I am really happy for them. Man, I really miss our family. I'm happy to be a great-aunt now.
(But wait, if Daniel is our father, then that makes Yahya a little bro, right?)

When you go sleuthing for pics, you should find that Yahya Luke has a heart problem and needs surgery--he was taken by helicopter to Charleston. So be praying.
I will pass on all your words to the Waltons when I see them, but it might be a while--I'm sick, and I don't want to get them sick so I may not see them any time soon.
Um... about being a great-aunt... he just didn't seem quite like a brother--more like a nephew, but somehow great-nephew seemed to work even better... these things are complicated. :P

I think Yahya is the name of John the Baptist... Turkish or something.
Please, Sarah and whoever else reads the blog, be praying for Yahya, and also Daniel and Amanda. They're hanging at a hospital in Charleston, I guess just waiting until it's safe to do the necessary surgery. (Might pray for the doctor/nurse types while your at it.)

Yep, Yahya is how some other languages pronounce John. Have you called them Hannah, or have they called you? Maybe you could e-mail me more details when you know them. In fact, PLEASE DO E-MAIL ME! I feel like I'm out of the loop and I miss them a lot just now, especially after hearing about this. (Dude, I even dreamed the other night I was with Amanda somewhere)
