Wow guys! Looks like it was awesome. I'm sorry to have missed it, but thanks for posting pictures so the rest of us (David, Hannah, Emily, etc. and myself) could see how it was. Too bad you got hit with rain so much, but I guess it made it more exciting. Is that the Bob Peeples shelter you all camped in, or the one the guys and I stayed in that rainy night? Thanks be to God that you found the wallet... How many miles did you have to go back? That's really cool that the church left goodies on the trail. We should try that sometime - stop on the 50 or the 421 and leave some stuff. :) What a nice surprise. Glad you made it back safe... and I hope those blisters heal. I still have scars from mine.
Looks like somebody filled you in on the story going along with the pictures... Good! I just didn't want to do a bunch of text AND photos in one crazy big post. Anyway, the shelter we stayed in was called Alpine Shelter or something, but all of them had BP jokes on them. We tried to make up some of our own, but we didn't graffiti-fy them. ;) WE WERE SO HAPPY that Ian found that wallet!! We had a "slap-yo-mama prayer meeting over a trail" (if you wanna sound like CIU) and he actually was only gone looking for it for about 20 minutes. We should totally leave some trail magic! That would make me feel so in-tune with the AT. :) We could just leave a bunch of Mountain Dews. That was our favorite part anyway. Blisters are doing fine... it's the poison ivy that's killing me now. But we'll survive! I miss you Kate!
