Money for Nothin'

The latest rage on Mount Barry is the fervent hunting of woolly worms. Have we lost our minds? The Woolly Worm Festival is fast approaching, and a woman (who works for no man, has no name, and - as the rumors would have it - is a devout member of ABF) is paying $1.00 per caterpillar in preparation for said country fair. Reliable sources explain that she is collecting 300 just such critters for the venerable Woolly Worm Races. Let the Hunting Games begin.

Woolly worms have been spotted in droves on sharp curves along the road towards the Mast General Store, on certain stretches of driveways in Valley Cay, and in the Pinkertons' front-yard. Barrys of all ages have been seen walking tentatively up and down backwoods roads, stopping sharply every so often to quick stoop down and snatch at something in a curious seasonal dance, oft-times exclaiming in rhythm to the movements: "There's a dollar! Claim!"

'Tis the season to be mercenary. Happy Woolly Worm searching!

And since I'm a wanna-be veterinarian and agriculturist, I will add a few instructions to those hunters of wildlife: Please remember to keep your woolies well-hydrated and feed them copious amounts of lettuce every day. Poop is continuous and plentiful. Don't forget to clean cages. All worms due in by Friday, October 19th.
