A few tidbits from our beloved Emily:

Speaking of vacant lots, just down the road from headquarters there is another vacant lot, or rather a pasture, that really intrigues me. Like many pastures that contain horses or cows for part of the year, it is fenced in with barbed wire and partly overgrown with weeds. Also, like many pastures I have seen, on one of the posts is nailed a "Posted: No Trespassing" sign. What makes this sign noteworthy is that, underneath the bold, red-lettered "Posted: No Trespassing" is printed (also in red caps, but smaller) "Especially Miss White." These are the kind of things that leave one wakeful and pondering late into the night. Who is Miss White? Does she have a penchant for trespassing in other peoples' weedy, abandoned horse pastures? And even if she does, why does it matter so very much? I'm looking for answers...or at least, speculations. Any ideas?

The other day we passed a field of garlic all in bloom. The purplish, pincushiony balls made it look like the "dark and gloomy snide field that was almost nine miles wide" at least, that's how I pictured a snide field.

While driving down through the craggy passes from Moscow to Boise, we heard the Cockman's song "Three o'Clock Prayer" on the radio.

Mitzie White sounds like a WWIII character. Maybe there is more to the old childhood games then we know...
