"If that's not in the Bible than I don't believe it, but it's probably true."

Yea, the blog doth survive, ere the noon day sun riseth in the East, bringing hope and a joysome spirit to man and beast!

That's how Ian has been talking lately. Aunt Molly laughs and exclaims gleefully, "That's what a classical education does to you!" Speaking of educations, as the school year wraps up, the youths on the Mount have grown rather distracted from their respected duties as thriving students, and would prefer to "accidentally fall into" one of the ponds in Valley Kay, go on long romps over "legit, redneck, busted up roads," sing at the top of their lungs all four impressive stanzas of "I Am The Very Model of a Modern Major General" (only a few can attest to this feat) or even to the droll pastime of sitting around the John Barrys' living room as Sarah reads aloud chapter after chapter of the latest rage, Little Women.

David, Shepherd and Sarah will be departing for Colorado shores (mountains, actually, but shores fits the phrase better) in a mere month. In preparation, Sarah and JB girls have concocted a list of Things To Do before the time runs out. A few of these things include:

1) Attempting to sail the [very old, weather-worn, water logged, paddle-less] Lake Victoria canoe on a Valley Kay pond (in hopes of getting very soaked in the process and having a rollicking good time).
2) Having a lovely high-class picnic, with sandwiches and cookies and a table cloth and everything, and read aloud Shakespeare (Much Ado About Nothing, to be precise).
3) Go on a very long adventure, tramping to either the Mast Store or the Blackburns without using any roads (swimming rivers, trespassing in cow pastures, tractor-tipping and getting lost are greatly encouraged).

There are more, funnier and sillier and some nearly ludicrous, but what better thing to do but make up preposterous lists of wonderful adventures to be had before the summer really begins, and everybody branches out? We are looking forward to everything with great excitement.

I love you Sarah! Thanks for posting... I'm looking forward to being around this summer to do some of this awesome stuff. Perhaps we'll take another backpacking trip sometime?

My rejoices that Thou has revived our blog of old.
